Tyler Rollins Fine Art is pleased to announce our representation of Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook in the United States. Araya is universally recognized as one of the leading video artists from Southeast Asia. She represented Thailand at the 51st Venice Biennale (2005) and was featured in the Sydney Biennale twice (1996 and 2010), the Nanjing Biennale (2010), Carnegie International 54 (1994), and the Asia Pacific Triennial (1993). She was an artist in residence at Artpace, San Antonio (1998-1999), and her works have been included in numerous international museum exhibitions on five continents. In 2011 alone, her work is featured in group exhibitions at the Zentrum für Kunst (Karlsruhe, Germany), the National Museum of Art (Osaka, Japan), the Musée de l’Objet (Blois, France), the Changwon Asian Art Festival (Gyeongnam, South Korea), the Sørlandets Kunstmuseum (Kristiansand, Norway), and the MDE11 (Medellin, Colombia).

Araya will present her first solo show in the United States at Tyler Rollins Fine Art, opening in January 12, 2012. The exhibition will feature the premiere of two new videos works along with related photographs. A catalogue will be published by the gallery.
