In the project room Richard Levy Gallery is exhibiting 17 Stones an installation of 17 new paintings of crystals by Jenna Kuiper. This series of small paintings of the same amethyst crystal from different angles is an exploration of perspective and a rumination on the nature of belief. In spending a great deal of time with a single object, each painting becomes a meditation through which Kuiper seeks to infuse the object with power.

John Chervinsky is an engineer working in the field of applied physics at Harvard's Rowland Institute for Science. Jenna Kuiper received her MFA in painting and drawing from the University of New Mexico and teaches painting at NMSU in Las Cruces, NM.

Images for 17 Stones can be found on our website at and are also are available on request.
