In her first solo UK exhibition, acclaimed Finnish photographer Sandra Kantanen (born 1974) presents imagery strongly influenced by traditional Chinese landscape painting. Digitally modifying her photographs from China, Japan, Finland and Tibet creates distortion, blurring or streaking: investigating and expanding the boundaries of the medium. A former pupil of the celebrated Helsinki School of Photography, a major monograph on her work was published by Hatje Cantz in June 2011.
