C&M Arts is pleased to present an exhibition of sculpture by Julian Schnabel, in a show which inaugurates the gallery¹s representation of this body of work.

The exhibition is being held at 545 West 22nd Street, in a space large enough to encompass the artist¹s monumental and inventive sculptural statements. Ultimately cast in bronze, the sculptures encompass found materials, manipulated forms, patination and sometimes prose and paint, to realize three-dimensional collages of colossal scope and daring, gritty physicality.

Footage of the sculpture in the winter landscape of St. Moritz, filmed by Brian Kelly, is incorporated into the exhibition, and is an added dvd feature of the catalogue.

An additional installation of sculptures can be seen at Conyers Farm in Greenwich, Connecticut, in co-operation with the Brant Foundation.

For further information, please contact Maureen Bray at the gallery via phone at 212-861-0020, via email at bray@c-m-arts.com or visit our web site at www.c-m-arts.com. Gallery hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 - 5:30.
