INCLUDING A SELECTION OF NEW PRINTS FROM CORIANDER STUDIO

A SPECIAL EXHIBITION OF WORKS IDEAL FOR PRESENTS

30 November - 23 December 2009

HOT OFF THE PRESS! SPECIAL NEW UNION FLAG PRINT FROM PETER BLAKE FINISHED ON MONDAY (30 November) AND ONLY AVAILABLE FROM JILL GEORGE GALLERY THIS CHRISTMAS!
Plus two new Damien Hirst prints, and the best of British art in a special seasonal show. All ready and delivered for Christmas with 10% of proceeds to the Sarah Dickinson Brain Tumour Trust.

Jill George Gallery is delighted to announce a special Christmas exhibition which welcomes more of the singular work of Coriander Print Studio. This exhibition will present more fascinating and unique screen printing which will show the spectacular variety of the medium by some of Britain’s leading artists.

Included in the show will be work by Ivor Abrahams, Peter Blake, Brad Faine, Damien Hirst (whose prints will include, for the first time, black diamond dust), John Hoyland, Bruce McLean and Brendan Neiland, along with work by popular artists from Jill George Gallery.

As well as producing prints, Coriander also has a tradition of commissioning and publishing work from artists with whom they have developed a close working relationship. The first of these was Patrick Hughes in 1975, and since then the studio has collaborated with some of the most celebrated British artists to produce work of incomparable quality and creativity.

Coriander Studios’ profile as leaders in the field continues via their technical prowess and groundbreaking innovation in all aspects of screenprinting. This has resulted in thirty six years of work that is widely regarded as a benchmark of quality in superior editioned prints.

This exhibition is a rare opportunity to see a carefully chosen selection of the best of Coriander by some of Britain’s most well loved artists. Each will make a singular and impressive seasonal gift and all will be available in time for Christmas.

10% of all sales will be donated to Sarah Dickinson Brain Tumour Trust as a tribute to two brave friends of the gallery. Since registering with the Charity Commission in 1996 the Trust has become the largest brain tumour charity in the UK with the highest level of laboratory based childhood and adult brain tumour research in the country.
