Jane Kahan Gallery will be exhibiting this year for the first time at the Palm Springs Art Fair (February 14, 15, and 16). Highlighting the booth will be rare modern tapestries including examples by Calder, Delaunay, Magritte and Leger.
Jane Kahan is also internationally known for Picasso ceramics – the gallery was one of the first in America to specialize in these highly collectible artworks. The gallery’s Palm Springs booth will feature a number of key edition pieces as well as unique ceramics personally decorated by Picasso.
Rounding out the presentation will be sculpture and original paintings by Vasarely, Karel Appel, contemporary American artist Shay Kun, Serge Mendjisky and Hungarian-born French realist/surrealist, Istvan Sandorfi. Jane Kahan was Sandorfi’s exclusive agent in the years before the artist’s death in 2007 and the gallery has the one of the largest collections of top Sandorfi paintings for sale anywhere in the world.
