London, United Kingdom

After an incredibly successful debut show in London last year, Tyler Shields, described by the Daily Mail as “Hollywood’s Favourite Photographer” and considered by GQ as one of the 100 Best Things In The World, now returns to Imitate Modern with Beyond The Gates.

Tyler Shields’ first London show was never going to be a quiet affair- guests were greeted by lingerie clad models devouring raw meat (a homage to his famous portrait of Hollywood starlet Mischa Barton licking raw steak). Attendees included socialites Tamara Ecclestone and Tamara Beckwith, Made In Chelsea star Chloe Green and celebrity interior designer Kelly Hoppen.

The new body of work which will be on display at Imitate Modern has been heavily influenced by Tyler Shields’ muse and girlfriend Francesca Eastwood (daughter of Hollywood veteran Clint Eastwood). Featuring in many of his images, she gives them a romantic and scenic feel, it is hard to believe that this is the same photographer who brought us the infamous blood soaked Lindsay Lohan portraits a year ago. Beyond The Gates promises to be as every bit controversial and exciting if not more so as Tyler Shields takes his photography in a new direction.

The opening night and all the madness that surrounds Tyler Shields will be documented by E! from the same producers who brought us the Kardashians. Tyler Shields comments on his return, “I am coming back to London and I am bringing a lot of madness with me! People have almost died for me to make this show.”
