Moved with his family to Kearney, NE
1889
Went to Paris to study at the Academie Julien with Bouguereau and Tony-Fleury
1893
Accepted a post as Director of Fine Arts at Beloit College in Wisconsin
1896
Received the John Armstrong Chaloner European Scholarship (or Paris Prize). This allowed him to return to Paris where he enrolled for a second time in the Ecole des Beaux-Arts as well as at the Academie Julian.
1897
Received the Prix d'Atelier
1898
Moved to New York, NY. Appointed as president of the New York School of Art (Chase School)
1900
Returned to Paris, France completing work for the Paris Universal Exposition; however, he did not end up exhibiting there. Founded the Parker Academy in Paris.
1901
Accepted a teaching job at the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL
1902
Received a third-class medal at the Paris Salon
