Gallery Sensei is pleased to present Relaxing the Virgin, by painting collective BLONDE.
Relaxing the Virgin, the third exhibition by BLONDE collective addresses the body, gender, sexuality, and identity from three radically different angles. Chrzanowska’s sensual and geometric handling of the human form decadently marinates our inner voyeur. Clodfelter’s process-heavy paintings forge a treaty between the recognizable and the abstract. Shwetz’s lush and classically rendered works twist and blend tradition with new modes of sexual expression. From meticulous realism to radical abstraction, Relaxing the Virgin pierces norms, convention and archaic interpretations of our bodies, how we relate to our environment and how we interact with others.
