1888
Born on March 18th, in Szeged, Hungary.
Studies in the superior school of Decorative Arts in Budapest.
1908
Like Archipenko the same year and Brancusi in 1904, Csaky makes the long journey to Paris, walking most of the way. Csaky establishes his residence at La Ruche.
1910 - 1911
Exhibits at Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris. First cubists sculptures : Tête, 1911 - Figure femme debout, 1913.
1914 - 1918
Volunteers in the French Army during the First World War.
1919
Abstract sculptures, composition of columns-cylinders : Cones et sphères, Figure abstraite, Composition cubiste. Influence of Fernand Leger.
1920 - 1923
Contract with Léonce Rosenberg. Exhibition Maîtres du cubisme in 1921 at Rosenberg’s Galeriede l’Effort Moderne with Braque, Picasso, Gris, Leger, Gleizes, Laurens and Mondrian. Exhibition at Salon des Indépendants : Rosenberg sells his work in France and Abroad (famous patron and Couturier Jacques Doucet purchases a very important stone sculpture Femme 1921).Interior designer Marcel Coard acquires small sculptures in bronze and animals in rock crystal. Csaky designs the central panel of a Marcel Coard’s armoire.
1924
Exhibits at Salon des Artistes Décorateurs works on various type of stone : granit, onyx, obsidian.
1928
At the age of 40, half way through his life, he carves his important sculpture Panier sur le bras influenced by Maillol. He turns to a more figurative type of work.
1930
Exhibition with Group of U.A.M. (Union des Artistes Modernes).
1933
Sculpture Adam et Eve.
