Fabien Castanier Gallery is proud to present brand new work by British artist Charlie Anderson and LA-based French Photographer Guillaume Zuili. This will be the first show by Charlie Anderson in the United States. Urban Exposure presents raw interpretations of Los Angeles from the eyes of international artists.

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, painter Charlie Anderson explores contemporary culture through the sampling of imagery taken from advertising, political campaigns and the music industry. Through the juxtaposing of words, phrases, and images, he creates all new meaning, often with a satirical twist. His work recalls the weathered layers of street advertisements and subway posters, which he re-creates through the sole use of paint. Urban Exposure features canvas works as well as silkscreen prints.

Since moving to Los Angeles 12 years ago from Paris, Guillaume Zuili has been fascinated by documenting his encounters with Los Angeles and the myth of California. For Urban Exposure, Guillaume Zuili presents a series of lighted installations, re-created from collages of cut negatives developed as transparencies. Bright lights, dark places, sinister behaviors- Zuili also features one-of-a-kind solarized portraits of Los Angeles, illuminating a very different California dream.
