Sheary Clough Suiter: Encaustic Paintings Jun 3 - Jun 28, 2010

Sheary Clough Suiter is also exhibiting her new encaustic paintings that juxtapose abstract design and figurative images. This work is a continuation of the "Man Alone" series, which explores the intermingling of time, place, and transformation. Sheary has been a visual artist for over fifteen years and has received numerous awards recognizing her expertise in Encaustics. She works and teaches in Anchorage and is the founder and president of the Alaska Chapter of the International Encaustics Artists. The Alaska Anchorage Museum is purchasing one of her encaustic paintings for its permanent collection.
