Im Anschluss an die Eröffnung der Berlin Biennale wird noch einmal in diesem Jahr das Gallery Weekend Berlin zu gemeinsamen Ausstellungseröffnungen am Freitag, den 11. Juni einladen. Der Beitrag der Galerie Thomas Schulte ist die im Mai verschobene Präsentation der raumgreifenden mechanischen Skulptur von Alice Aycock "A Salutation to The Wonderful Pig of Knowledge" von 1984 und im Hauptraum der Galerie die Themenausstellung "Office Baroque" von Gordon Matta-Clark. Aus verschiedenen privaten und öffentlichen Sammlungen in Belgien, Italien und Spanien wurden noch unveröffentlichtes Footage, Fotos und Fotocollagen sowie Zeichnungen zusammengetragen, die Gordon Matta-Clarks skulpturale Transformation eines Antwerpener Bürohauses in 1977 dokumentieren. Die Ausstellung entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit Florent Bex, dem Initiator des Antwerpener Projekts von Gordon Matta-Clark und ehemaligen Direktor des International Cultural Center.

Following the opening of this year's Berlin Biennial, the Gallery Weekend Berlin invites again to open doors on Friday 11th of June. In the Corner Space, Galerie Thomas Schulte will present the previously deferred exhibition of Alice Aycock's mechanical sculpture, A Salutation to The Wonderful Pig of Knowledge. The main exhibition area will be devoted to a compilation of unpublished footage, photographs, photo collages, and drawings by Gordon Matta-Clark that document his sculptural transformation of an office building in Antwerp in 1977, Office Baroque. This exhibition with works coming from various private and public collections in Belgium, Italy, and Spain has been organised in collaboration with Florent Bex, the initiator of Matta-Clark's Antwerp project and former director of the International Cultural Center.
