LewAllen Galleries is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition, Clear and Present: Works in Glass by 12 Artists. On view from August 5 – 28, 2011, at LewAllen Galleries’s Downtown venue, the exhibition will present new artworks by twelve world-renowned glass artists working both locally and internationally.
Clear and Present features glass sculptures and reliefs that exemplify new developments in glass technique, sustain the legacy of historical methods, and illustrate the mutually informing dialogues vivifying contemporary sculptural designs.
Contributing works that range from exacting representations to light-suffused abstractions, participating artists include: Sean Albert, Peter Bremers, Daniel Clayman, John Kiley, Steve Klein, Lucy Lyon, Charlie Miner, Danny Perkins, Ethan Stern, Veruska Vagen, Carmen Vetter, and Hiroshi Yamano.
