1976 – 1980: PART ONE
March 9 – April 7, 2007
Friday, March 9, 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Rhona Hoffman Gallery
118 North Peoria Street Chicago, Illinois 60607
This year marks 30 years for Rhona Hoffman as a gallerist in Chicago.
It seemed fitting to celebrate this significant anniversary with a series of exhibitions and installations that pay homage to the art and artists who have been the lifeblood and substance of the gallery's existence. We are presenting many of the artists’ work in a roughly chronological fashion, according to the era they first exhibited here. Due to spatial constraints, architecture and photography exhibitions will be recognized together in a latter part of this series.
There will be a catalogue which will include images of all the exhibitions the gallery has mounted in these 30 years.
1976-1980: PART ONE includes the work of Vito Acconci, Laurie Anderson, Richard Artschwager, Mel Bochner, Richard Haas, Jene Highstein, Donald Judd, June Leaf, Sol LeWitt, Robert Mangold, Sylvia Plimack Mangold, Gordon Matta-Clark, Richard Nonas, Lucio Pozzi, Martin Puryear, Robert Ryman, and Richard Tuttle.
