Cinema Mundi

In association with the Cinémathèque Française’s exhibition, "Tournages : Paris-Berlin-Hollywood, 1910-1939", we take a jump into the heart of photography on the film sets of the 7th Art. Polka offers to extend the dream with "Cinema Mundi".

"Cinema Mundi" continues with backstage snapshots of american and european stars: Marilyn Monroe, Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, Catherine Deneuve or Nicole Kidman… The greatest actors of yesterday and today, immortalized on stage by Mary Ellen Mark , Elliott Erwitt, William Klein and Willy Rizzo.
Contrasting with the movie-set world of Irma la Douce, Lolita or Roma or even the launch of a new world, "Cinema Mundi" présent the still-life photographs of Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre : the second life of american movie theater.
