Wisteria House will be participating in Staten Island’s Second Saturday once again this July 9, 2011. This time teaming with AIR art collective in a collaborative exhibition titled Botanical in Nature: Works on Paper. The show features 7 select artists who have each created work highlighting their individual vision and interaction with nature.
Botanical in Nature: Works on Paper will showcase the artwork of:
Emily Baier, Rosie Cardenas, Casey Leigh Carty, Astrid Monique Müller-Karger, Lauren Roberts, Rachel Elpiniki Talentino and Andrew Tipton
Based in Queens, AIR art collective is a platform for emerging artists to showcase their works and further promote themselves online. Focusing primarily in contemporary realism with a folk art twist, their artists are charming, energetic and, most importantly, approachable. AIR art collective believes art should speak clearly and simply to viewers.
Based in Brooklyn, Wisteria House is an online gallery for emerging artists from the American South. Wisteria House also shows artists with an educational background from Southern colleges for art and design. Wisteria House brings their artistry to audiences who seek distinctive works from emerging American painters and sculptors.
As part of Staten Island’s Second Saturday, Botanical in Nature: Works on Paper opens for one night only on July 9, 2011 at 6 p.m. at 150 Daniel Low Terrace. The entrance to the show is to the right and at the top of the stairs. Please come enjoy the exhibition and cool off with a Staten Island treat: Ralphs Italian Ice!
