Arrangement and Color: New work by Francis Livingston Mar 31 - Apr 13, 2011
Special Artist Reception Thursday March 31st, 2011, 6-9pm
With a love for nostalgia, Francis Livingston paints the places that take his viewer back to a time when amusement parks with wooden roller coasters, movie theatres with neon signs and boardwalk carnivals were in their prime. Livingston is known for his thickly applied brush strokes that emphasize shape rather than line, creating an abstract approach to realism. His bold impressionistic style creates movement with brilliant color and texture which causes the viewer to reminisce of times gone by.
