OPENING RECEPTION
FRIDAY FEBRUARY 24TH 7-10PM
Exhibit runs through April 22th
Carol Jazzar is pleased to present, a little window inside my head, Ana Albertina's new series of drawings. This will be Ana's first solo exhibit at the gallery.
Discovering Ana Albertina's drawings is entering the personal world of a woman where magical elements and surreal revelations complement real motivations and explorations. Her drawings reveal a world within, a window into the internal. Ana's impeccable lines guide the viewer through playful imageries, almost child-like, but which are also infused with a far older wisdom.
Ana Albertina Delgado is a former member of "Puré", an art collective that shook the Cuban art scene in the late 80's with public interventions that questioned everyday life in Cuba. She graduates from the National School of Fine Arts in Havana, Cuba and has shown extensively with galleries and museums. Her work can be found in the collections of the National Museum of Fine Arts, Havana, Cuba, The Museum of Arts, Guadalajara University, Mexico, The Museum of Art, Fort Lauderdale, FL, The Lowe Art Museum, Coral Gables, FL, The Frost Museum, Miami FL and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Miami FL.
Ana Albertina's a little window inside your head runs concurrently to FULL SPECTRUM DOMINANCE featuring Conor McGrady paintings and Roberto Visani's sculptures.
Carol Jazzar Gallery is Open Saturday and Sunday 1PM to 6PM and by Appointment.
