DTR Modern Galleries evokes the golden age of Paris, a time when the revered French capital was transformed into one of the most dynamic centers of modern art in the world, laying the foundation for future artistic and cultural revivals throughout the decades. Flourishing as a key outpost for the avant-garde and experimental art of the time, artists from around the world elected to live and work in Paris, forming what later became known as the "School of Paris". This group of French and non-French artists working in Paris through the end of World War II included some of the most significant artists of the last century, including Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse and Joan Miró.
