Kiechel Fine Art is pleased to open “Thomas Hart Benton and the Regionalist Movement: 1930 to Today” a collection of drawings, paintings, and illustrations by Thomas Hart Benton, accompanied by fellow Regionalists Dale Nichols, John Steuart Curry, Grant Wood, Terence Duren, Anthony Benton Gude, Hal Holoun and Keith Jacobshagen.

The show explores Regionalist subjects and themes, emphasizing agrarian cultural ideas that bring heartland America to the forefront. The works of traditional Regionalists Benton, Nichols, Curry, Wood, and Duren will be juxtaposed against the modern perspective of contemporary artists Jacobshagen, Holoun, and Gude. Crossing generational lines, the works of these artists come together to show Regionalism is as relevant and fresh today as it was during the Great Depression.

The show will open January 18th and is open to the public.
