The exhibition will consist of about 35 works of art including watercolors by British artist Gwen John (1876-1939) and Bloomsbury Group founder Duncan Grant (1885-1978). Also in the show are a Vorticist watercolor by English artist Percy Wyndham Lewis (1882-1957), Bella, an 1982 etching by Lucian Freud (born 1922), and Japanese Interior, an 1880s painting by Mortimer Menpes (1860-1939) an associate of James McNeill Whistler.

Also included will be works on paper by American artists Mark Tobey (1890-1976), Bill Traylor (1854-1949), Ashcan artist Everett Shinn (1873-1953), Maurice Prendergast (1858-1924); and a 2010 weaving by Sheila Hicks (born 1934). There will be paintings, a work on paper, and jewels by contemporary American artist Robert M. Kulicke (1924-2007). A remarkable rare watercolor by Albert York (1928-2009) will be on view for the first time in almost 15 years.

A diverse group of objects will be on display. American items include a sterling silver Waterman Pen from the 1920s, a 20th century Ice Fishing Decoy, and a painted wooden Horse executed in New England during the 1920s. From France there is an 18th century baroque Lock and China is represented by an early 19th century Brush Pot made from huange-hauli wood. Finally, exquisite ancient glass Bracelets and a glass Bead of Indonesian, Islamic, and Roman origin will be on view.
