In his largest work to date, Untitled (measuring 300 x 250 cm) his idealised depiction of contemporary Chinese beauty has moved from his previous style of Chinese Communist Sister and has been replaced by a subject who has given up the military trapping to offer a Westernised style, but losing none of her captivating beauty with her come hither eyes, flowing locks and lascivious tongue.

Sacha Jafri, the UK’s leading Anglo-Indian artist, already has one ten year retrospective under his belt and a bevy of global collectors. Jafri has been commissioned for a number of high profile projects - amongst them he was chosen to paint the Official London Olympic painting London 2012 - 1000 Days which was unveiled by HRH Princess Royal in the Natural History Museum. He was also recently commissioned by Disney to create an elephant inspired by the Lion King for the London Elephant Parade. One of Jafri’s key sponsors is His Highness the Emir of Qatar. His works on show at the Fair are taken from The Universe of the Child collection, which has already gained recognition from renowned collectors and museums - and has a dazzling list of international sponsors. This touring exhibition, which began this year, will have been shown in 22 countries before culminating in a solo show at the Saatchi Gallery in April 2011, curated by Tanya Baxter Contemporary. Universe of the Child was inspired by a trip to Dafur in 2007, where he has been commissioned to create a work to raise awareness of the genocide taking place. Whilst flying low over Darfur, he noticed that the soil was particularly red. It was when he was told that this was blood that he knew that his perceptions and style as an artist had changed.

Pip Todd Warmoth, one of the leading Modern British artists, will also be previewing his forthcoming show The Magic of Figuratism at the Fair, (which opens on 25 November 2010 at Kings Road Gallery). Amongst other Oriental themes, he will unveil powerful new cityscapes of Moscow and St. Petersburg that evoke the Imperial mystique of these cultured cities and their exquisitely drawn buildings. Todd Warmoth is a classical painter with discerning collectors, such as Sir David Tang, Chris Patten and Lord Puttnam.

Tanya Baxter has always recommended potential collectors to ‘Follow your gut instinct - and first and foremost buy because you love the work. Above a certain price bracket, I think it is wise to do your due diligence, both on the gallery and the artist. You need to know that you can build a trustworthy relationship with the gallery and if the artist is living, check his market prices. Prices should be uniform globally. Look at the former work and then you can judge the posterity and integrity of the artist.’
