Von Lintel Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new paintings by Valerie Jaudon. These paintings expand upon her established vocabulary and continue her exploration of ornament and the decorative within the discipline of abstraction. In the new work calligraphic lines entwine and dance within a buoyant surface, allowing for a newfound depth of space. Juxtaposing crisp structures with a rich and creamy hand-painted process, Jaudon's paintings feature a complex system of modular and symmetrical interweaving forms that are both austere and sensuous.

Valerie Jaudon has exhibited extensively in museums and galleries throughout the United States and Europe. She has completed various public art commissions and is represented in numerous museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington D.C., the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington D.C., the Albright Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, New York, and the Fogg Art Museum, Cambridge, MA. Valerie Jaudon lives and works in New York City.
