Diana Lowenstein Gallery’s long history has allowed it to grow an all-encompassing collection that can be considered from multiple perspectives. The artists and their artwork can be studied in terms of subject matter, media, formal qualities, cultural or artistic history, etc. In Looking Back to Look Forward, we allowed an intrigue in the different manners in which photography has been used, manipulated, handled and presented to guide us in selecting the specific works brought together here. They range from those by current gallery artists Flomen, Paredes, and others, to international, contemporary masters such as Plensa.
