Everyday Mysteries explores the depth and diversity of still life in 20th century American art. Included are works by a number of modern and contemporary artists whose ability to transform arrangements of ordinary objects into beautiful and often profound works of art is nothing short of miraculous.

Most of these works demonstrate the pure joy and intense satisfaction of artmaking at its most fundamental. Included will be both typical examples of the genre along with more unexpected works that expand the definition of what can be considered still life. Alternatively private and intimate, symbolic and expansive, the exhibition will reward close observation and provoke extended contemplation.
