This exhibition will consist of works by eleven (11) contemporary artists and works from two (2) artists’ estates represented by Davis & Langdale Company, Inc.
Works on paper will include monotypes by Stuart Shils (born 1954), etchings by Harry Roseman (born 1945) and Robert Andrew Parker (born 1927), as well as a drawing by Parker. The British artist Cressida Bell (born 1959) is represented with the poster paint and felt pen on paper Tray Design: Fishes.
There will be collages by artists Nicol Allan (born 1931) and Robert Ohnigian (born 1947), as well as Israeli artist Sharon Etgar (born 1975), who had her first solo exhibition at Davis & Langdale Company, Inc. in the fall of 2011.
A weaving by Sheila Hicks (born 1934) will be on view, as well as a selection of jewelry by Bessie Jamieson (born 1940) and landscape paintings by Pam Sheehan (born 1956).
Works from the Estates of Robert M. Kulicke (1924-2007) and Albert York (1928-2009) will be also be on view. Available Kulicke paintings include a still life of a half peeled orange, and Single Pear on a Green Background (see above), which is in a gilded Gothic arch frame made by the artist. A pencil drawing and painting by York will be on view.
Of particular note is the pastel Study for the Portrait of Mrs. John F. Kennedy (see above) by Aaron A. Shikler (born 1922). Shikler is well known for his official portrait commissions for the White House, including those of President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Mrs. John F. Kennedy.
