First Thursday Reception March 6, 6 - 9 pm
Music by Jamie Stillway
Wine Tasting by Maryhill Winery
This solo exhibit of new paintings by Portland based artist, Tommer Gonser, includes many of his paintings that were inspired by the book, "Born On A Blue Day" written by Daniel Tammet.
Tommer's oil paintings with their bold and often subtle palettes radiating dynamic patterns are reminiscent of the early modern abstract expressionists. His unique works portray a subtle strength while still being complicated with many layers of paint. There is a definitive statement as well as a colorful and dynamic quality found in each painting.
Tommer paints abstract, figurative, landscape and still life subjects in oil or acrylic. He also enjoys painting plein air scenes. This exhibit will include an interesting sampling of Tommer's many painting talents.
