Sylvia Plimack Mangold: selected works
Since 1985, Sylvia Plimack Mangold’s work has focused on paintings and watercolors of the trees on her property in Washingtonville, NY. Working from direct observation, her continued explorations of those motifs also reveal the formal constructs and conceptual underpinnings which have been present in her work since the 1960s. At the Art Show, 2012, Alexander and Bonin will exhibit recent paintings and watercolors along with selected works from 1975 – 1990.
From March 17 – April 28, Plimack Mangold’s work will be shown in the gallery. A brochure with an essay by Helen Molesworth will be available at both the Art Show and the gallery exhibition.
