AT THE 206 SW FIRST AVENUE ATTIC GALLERY: MIKE SMITH presents a Major Exhibit of new watercolors and pastel paintings as well as a bronze sculpture of a “Sheep”. Mike’s subject matter, whether unique watercolors, oils, pastels or bronze sculpture reflects the objects of his life including family, neighbors, town, and his garden. His new dog, Maddie and his cat, Bill, along with his horses, bunnies, turtle, goats, and chickens have captured the hearts of people around the globe. Each work of art is a delightful composition that radiates happiness.
AT THE 539 NW 10TH & HOYT ATTIC GALLERY: NATALIE WARRENS’ wheel thrown or hand built earthenware clay forms are first bisque fired, then airbrushed and hand painted using low fire vibrant colored underglazes. Then she applies a high-gloss clear glaze fired to 1800 degrees. This glaze gives her work a luminous glass-like quality.
KRISTIN BLIX, born and raised in Norway plays music with the “Guards of Metropolis” and “Fjord”. In this exhibit she will show her compelling acrylic and mixed media paintings that treat the viewer to her unique perspective of life. She will also be performing her music during the opening reception.
