The exhibition - art connections - explores the way in which contemporary Arab artists reveal the universality of art. 17 cross generational artists through the diversity of their origins, backgrounds as well as the countries in which they live today (Egypt, Tunisia, USA, Germany, France) allow to question the idea of Arab contemporary art as such. The artists offer the opportunity to think, through the art praxis, about the historical and sociological issues. The exhibition, showcasing works in a wide array of media ranging from painting to video art, expands universal notions of what art is and the diversity of artistic approaches that integrate the world mosaic. Inspired by the rich amalgam of past and current influences that continually shape the Arab world, the exhibition emphasizes the diverse, multi-disciplinary nature of the contemporary culture within conceptual, structural and contextual art.
