Double Take: South Freeport
Two views of one landscape by Freeport residents

For over a year, Phoebe and Julie have taken inspiration from the views of idyllic South Freeport, Maine. Each depicting its common scenes in her own style and chosen subject matter.
The paintings by Phoebe often depict images of the water with its boats and houses lining the shore while Julie is drawn to the colorful gardens overlooking the water. While Phoebe prefers oil paint on canvas, Julie is equally skilled in her use of acrylics and pastels.
Double Take is a triumphant ode to the beauty of South Freeport and the intimate knowledge of it by these two woman.
