AMSTERDAM WHITNEY GALLERY, 511 West 25th Street, Chelsea, New York City, is proud to showcase in its NOVEMBER 6- DECEMBER 1, 2009 exhibition of leading Contemporary Master Artists whose works run the gamut from figurative to surrealist, abstract to landscape. AMSTERDAM WHITNEY GALLERY continues to present the innovative art of the contemporary master S.M. LEWIS.

CORNUCOPIC COUNTERPOINTS highlights three innovative artists who express complex emotions and themes through the portrayal of identifiable icons, each with his/her own unique mastery of composition and individual creative expertise – resulting in powerful and striking visual masterpieces. CORA CRONEMEYER’s incandescent oeuvre illuminates universal social issues and whimsical subject matter through her unique, effervescent style characterized by bold color fields, highly stylized symbols and above all, celestially radiant color. DEBBIE DAVIES creates magnetic works of art, focusing on the spiral motif which represents “part meditation, part personal evolution,” illuminating her chosen motif which highlights the artist's masterful depiction of line, composition and texture. JASON LINCOLN JEFFERS alluring artwork of figurative elements - as seen with his ravishing profiles of goddess-like figures - elevates the viewer to a metaphysical plane where what one gazes upon bestows a spiritual and emotional metamorphosis.

LIGHTS, VISION, ACTION! explores ravishing depictions of the human form in a variety of styles, techniques and visions, yet focusing on the alluring quality of the non-traditional portrayal of the human form through Surreal, Abstract and Expressionistic modalities. LIZ GOLDBERG’s charismatic paintings depict spectacular scenes of curious and vivacious characters through vigorous line, ethereal colors, swelling motion and exuberant composition, thus expressing a "joie de vivre" and zestfulness to the spectator in an atmosphere of ravishment and curiosity. Painter BORIANA KANTCHEVA boldly portrays the multifaceted qualities of the human psyche with her Surrealist works which depict dreamlike scenes of mythical creatures in eerily barren or enchanted vistas, bestowing upon the spectator the gift of inner exploration. GRADY ZEEMAN's sumptuous paintings celebrate both the female figure as well as depict dynamic portrayals of prayer by means of a luminescent color palette, spiritual symbolism and the glorious rendition of light, thus liberating the mind and soul to inhabit a more contemplative state of being.

Inspiring naturalist vistas of dazzling color and incandescent light are testaments to the glory of nature in the outstanding exhibition, NATURALISTIC PLENTITUDES where each painter, in varying degrees of realism and color; journeys on his/her own path of optical illumination, deriving delight in the splendor and luminoscity of the rhythms of nature. SARA CHAMBERS’ elegant and emotive landscapes showcase an expressionistic use of breathtaking color, rich tactile aura and thoughtful execution of line, thus evoking a vast, visionary world of passion and magnificence which creates a delectable pathway to spiritual awakening and transcendence. Working from his photography and imagination, PAUL KENTZ‘s zestful and thought-provoking “Creative Realist” paintings of bustling street scenes in New York City, such as the Thanksgiving Day Parade, showcase his astute eye, ironic wit and masterful execution of line and verdant color. NADINE RIPPELMEYER’s joyously chromatic paintings of natural elements, radiating dazzling sunlight on luscious flowers and panoramic landscapes, brim with vibrant energy, sumptuous texture, unrestricted movement and an effervescent color palette as she interprets nature with a fresh spirit of excitement, depth and wonderment.

SYNERGISTIC D-MENTIONS forges new pathways of visual articulation, concentrating on a rich kaleidoscope of color, innovative form, and 3-dimensional texture which concurrently breathes life into non-objective artworks thus granting the spectator sensational portals of perception. NICLAS CASTELLO crafts dynamic sculptures from the remnants of automobile accidents – utilizing the material to create aesthetically stirring forms which also serve as canvases onto which he expresses his intimate emotions through loosely applied paint in a richly diversified palette. MONIREH GAROUSSIAN’s dazzling geometric abstract works continue to mesmerize the viewer with her compelling compositions, revealing the invisible to the visible eye. Using painting to create rapturous visual poetry, GERDA ROZE’s Abstract Expressionistic artworks, which are executed on elegant circular canvases, awe the spirit and inspire the intellect of the spectator through her mastery of lustrous color, brisk line and captivating form.

Amsterdam Whitney Gallery is delighted to shine the spotlight on two contemporary master artists in its “COLLECTORS CHOICE” Exhibit, which featured STEVEN G. HILL and RICHARD BAILEY.
