We would be very happy to welcome you for the opening of the exhibition Gregory Forstner "The Party" at Galerie Zink Berlin, Schlesische Str. 27, gsg courtyard, house 2/3, 2nd floor, on June 23, 2007 at 7 p.m.

With his virtuosity Gregory Forstner´s (*1975 in Duala/Kamerun) works show characters who under cover of humor exhibit a full range of desires, often very close to our own hidden intimacy. In his "Dog Paintings", triptychs inspired by the illustrations from Coolidge and Sarnoff, dogs are celebrating babarous and sanguinary parties mistreating their fellows or alternatively sticking their tongues out while watching the fights taking place on the green table. Carving for sensations, taking delight in truculence, voyeurism and vanity are reflected on the dog´s faces whose features are very close to human beings. Gregory Forstner´s pieces do not only expose the dark side of his protagonists, they also hold a burlesque and critical content.

The artist is present.
