Kiechel Fine Art is pleased to present a collection of works on paper and paintings by Thomas Hart Benton, on view at Kiechel Fine Art from October 23, 2009 through November 25th.

“Thomas Hart Benton’s America” is an exploration of the rivers, farm lands and industrial scenes that comprise the history and traditions of the United States from a leader of Regionalism, an artistic movement best known for its emphasis on agrarian cultural ideals.

Benton’s depictions of depression era and post-war America create a sweeping chronicle of American culture in the 20th century. His expressive drawings, illustrations, and paintings of the everyman form an intimate view of America and her people.

The show will run from October 23rd to November 25th at Kiechel Fine Art, 5733 South 34th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68516. The opening reception will be held Friday, October 23rd from 5:30-8 pm.

The show will return January 1, 2010 and be open to the public through February 26th.
