Laura Owens was born in Euclid, Ohio in 1970, and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. She has exhibited widely throughout the United States and Europe, including major solo exhibitions at the Bonnefantenmuseum, Maastricht (2007); Kunsthalle Zürich, Zürich (2006); and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (2003). Owens is represented by Gavin Brown's enterprise, New York; Sadie Coles HQ, London; ACME, Los Angeles; and Studio Guenzani, Milan.
