Sante D´Orazio is one of the most important image-makers working in the area the art world, fashion, and editorial photography today.
Evidenced in the sexy and vibrant campaigns he has produced for clients such as Versace, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret, Revlon, and L’Oreal, D’Orazio’s signature style – a unique blend of art and commerce – has become a mainstay of the fashion industry.
Since the 1980s, the photographer has also worked editorially for numerous magazines including the American Vogue, Esquire, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Town & Country, Detour, Max, Interview and Vanity Fair.
He photographed a great number of models, entertainment personalities, and artists like Damien Hirst, Francesco Clemente, Julian Schnabel, Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, Johnny Depp, Sean Penn, Robert de Niro, John Travolta und Pamela Anderson, to name just a few of the most famous personalities.
Sante D’Orazio was born January 23, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York. Attending Brooklyn College, D’Orazio studied painting and fine arts, as well as photography with Photo League member, Lou Bernstein. Since his first shot for Italien Vogue in 1981, he has completed hundreds pf assignments with the most with the most important fashion magazines of our time, as well as for numerous commercial clients.
Furthermore he shot several dokumentations, commercials and musicvideos such as „Since I don´t have you“ for Guns N´Roses since 1992.
