ShContemporary Art Fair – Shanghai    Sep 6 - Sep 9, 2007

We will show in a solo presentation the young Chinese artist Liu Ding, Beijing. Liu Ding's themes are about the impact of art by the market, the problems of todays pharmacy, the quick change by construction. So are the titles of his works: 'The ruins of pleasure' (2007); 'Tiger' (2007); 'A girl standing with a golden scull on a kidney' (2007); 'Samples from the transition products' (2005-2006). Still his works can have a political meaning, they are mostly also esthetic or beautiful. He works with different media: painting, video, sculpture, installation.

In the last years he showed his works beside others at the Fondazione Sandretto, Turin; Serpentine Gallery, London; Kunsthalle Vienna; ZKM Karlsruhe, Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, Oslo.
