| | Cincinnati Art Galleries will feature a special opening exhibition and sale of paintings by renowned Cincinnati artist Elizabeth Nourse on Saturday September 10th from 12-4pm. An accompanying lecture will be given on Saturday at 1pm at our gallery by Mary Alice Heeken Burke, the author of Elizabeth Nourse, 1859-1938: A Salon Career.
Elizabeth Nourse was a Cincinnati Artist who lived and worked in Paris for 50 years. Her depictions of peasants, often mothers and children, earned her great respect at the Paris Salon and at London's Royal Academy. Please join us to view over 60 of Elizabeth Nourse’s oil paintings, watercolors, and pastels.
Cincinnati Art Galleries, located at 225 E. 6th Street in downtown Cincinnati, features a continually changing display of European and American paintings, Rookwood pottery and other fine American and European Art Pottery and Art Glass. Gallery hours are 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays. Public welcome, no admission charge.
