"Mask No. 2" (from The Giants of Contemporary Chinese Art portfolio)" (2005). This rare silk-screen print in colors by one of the most famous Chinese artists working today, Zeng Fanzhi, is in perfect condition, measures 21.70 x 29.50 inches, and is from an edition of 99.

Zeng Fanzhi (1964, China) is one of China’s most dynamic and expressive painters. Unlike many of the other well-known Chinese painters. This print is from his most well-known “Mask” series. Zeng’s figures in this Series all wear a white mask, often with large staring eyes or intense expressions. In "Mask No. 2" a group of well-dressed business men joined in camaraderie, laughing and smiling together as they stand together under a rainbow, their good luck is literally visible. Zeng’s subjects are not political but psychological. His series of paintings, about hospitals, meat and masked figures, as well as his latest series of portraits set along the coast, are powerful, expressive pieces that hint at the psychological state of man — or woman — in the modern world, and perhaps the inner psyche of the artist.
