Lot description
Each gem is cast in bronze and coated with IKB ('International Klein Bleu') dry pigment. This palm-sized, iconic example of the work of Nouveau Réalist artist, Yves Klein may be displayed and/or be worn as ornament.

Born in France in 1928, Yves Klein spent six years travelling through Europe and Japan before returning to Paris to pursue a career as an artist. Klein is known for his “studies in monochrome,” his “Blue (International Klein Blue) Epoch,” and his "living brushes" experiments, first conducted in a friend’s apartment on Ile Saint-Louis in Paris. Consistently challenging the boundaries and limitations of visual art, Klein’s work is characterized by conceptual innovation and bold use of color.
