Michael Tracy (b. 1958), a.k.a. TRACY 168, was a pioneering New York City graffiti artist of the 1970s and '80s. TRACY 168 is best known for developing "wildstyle" graffiti, an intricate writing style that layers colors and shapes to give depth and movement to the paintings. His work on subway cars was featured in the 2006 Brooklyn Museum of Art group exhibition "Graffiti," and was also more recently included in the 2010 show "Graffiti NYC – Artists of the Third Rail" at Benrimon Contemporary, New York, NY.
