With a diverse array of unabashedly absurd imagery, Sweeney’s work often resembles the urban scrawls found through New York’s graffiti ridden city. The artist attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (Philadelphia, PA), and has since gone on to receive numerous awards including the Lewis S. Ware Memorial Prize for Experimental Work and the Cuff/Sammack Prize for abstract painting.
