Lot description
This print of an earlier watercolor shows Dalí's provocative and thorn-like costume designs for the ballet "Tristan Fou," which opened in 1944 and was based on the story of Tristan and Isolde. Dalí designed sets and costumes for several other theater productions, a seemingly natural extension of his flair for the dramatic in his art.
