Lot description
This print, from one of Dali's most desirable series entitled "Currier & Ives," is authenticated by Bruce Hochman, director of the Salvador Dali Gallery in California as well as the driving force behind the publication of Albert Field's "The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali." This print is unframed and in very good condition.

Salvador Dali (B. 1904, Figueras, Spain – D. 1989, Figueras, Spain) is undoubtedly one of the most influential and well known artists of the twentieth century. He was an incredibly diversified artist, never defined by one media in particular, working in painting, prints, sculpture, design and photography. As a defining figure of the Surrealist movement, Dali’s work is characterized by his imaginative and eccentric compositions filled with melting clocks, spindly-legged elephants, and distorted disembodied faces, set in symbolic dreamscapes. His art is replete with symbolic allusion.
