"Prince William" (2009) is a unique and dynamic portrait by internationally acclaimed Chinese Contemporary artist Ren Zhenyu, who is famed for his ongoing series of creates dynamic Neo-Pop paintings of Eastern and Western cultural icons. This painting is Ren at his best, and incorporates his signature staccato brushwork and unexpected spectrum of bright colors, which work together to create an unabashedly celebratory image of William. This work measures 39 x 35 inches (100 x 90 cm), is unframed, and in excellent condition. Ren is known the world-over for his series of portraits of the world’s most famous cultural icons, including the British Royal Family, artists Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol and Francis Bacon, as well Marilyn Monroe, Mao, Che Guevara, U.S. President Obama, among others.

Born in China in 1976, Ren Zhenyu graduated in 1999 from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Art. His work has been exhibited in solo and group Museums shows world wide, most recently at The Shanghai Art Museum, China. He is represented by prestigious galleries in China, Europe and the U.K. and his paintings are held in select private and public collections in the U.S, U.K, Australia, Singapore, Europe and throughout Asia. The artist lives and works in China.
