"Another Portrait-Andy Warhol" (2008) is a large-scale Neo-Pop oil portrait that belongs to an ongoing series of portraits of American Pop artist Andy Warhol by Chinese Contemporary artist, Ren Zhenyu. Ren's renowned staccato brush stroke is at its best here, nearly abstracting the portrait of Warhol, painted as it is with an incredibly diverse color palette. Ren's portraits are famous for the energy and a freshness they resonate, and are unique among his Chinese contemporaries as he adopts a painting manner closer to Pop Art than to the currently dominant Chinese Neo-Realist style. This painting measures 59.05 x 59.05 (150 x 150 cm) is unframed and in excellent condition.

Born in Tianjin in 1976, Ren Zhenyu graduated in 1999 from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Art, where he currently works as a lecturer. The artist is internationally collected for his portraits of Eastern and Western cultural icons, including Marilyn Monroe, Andy Warhol, Chairman Mao, Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, US President Obama, and British artists Damien Hirst and Lucien Freud. His work has been exhibited at countless Museums and Galleries world-wide since 2007, including a solo show at The Shanghai Art Museum, China. He is represented by top galleries world-wide, including Willem Kerseboom Gallery, The Netherlands, among others.
