Lot description
This 3-dimensional color lithograph of a careening taxi was created by Red Grooms in 1982. It is hand-signed, numbered and dated by the artist in red crayon on the rear fender and comes encased in a Plexiglas box.

Considered the "Father of American Comic Art," Red Grooms has inspired generations of artists who have appropriated the comic form and its elements to create diverse contemporary styles of comic artwork.
