11 x 14” print archivally matted in 4-ply rag board to 16 x 20” (with photo corners/completely removable with no adhesive residue).

One of Ralph Gibson's signature images. Haunting, evocative, and timeless. This image, from Gibson's seminal book The Somnambulist, would most likely be counted among the photographer's greatest works. Borne of the 1960's, the image continues to resonate with sensibilities that are just as current today as the day the photograph was captured. Gibson's keen eye and dynamic personal aesthetic were never more pronounced than in this particular image. His mastery of the sublime, coupled with his trademark graininess, effortlessly transform an otherwise common moment into a remarkable experience, an instant that reverberates within the psyche of all who view it. Truly a classic of 20th century American photography.
