Lot description
The Dove was one of Picasso's favorite themes during the 1950s. After World War II, Picasso joined the Communist party and was an active participant of the Peace Movement. In 1949, the World Peace Conference asked Picasso to design their official symbol. He created a dove for the Peace Conference as well as a number of other works exhibiting the dove.
